PTK 210: FILSAFAT ILMU DAN METODOLOGI PENELITIAN (3 SKS) [PHILOSOPHY OF SCIENCE AND RESEARCH METHODOLOGY, 3 credits]

General Instructional Purposes (TIU):
Able to apply basic study of the philosophy of science in planning and carrying out research activities

Specifics Instructional Purposes (TIK):
1. able to explain the meaning of philosophy of science and the history of its development;
2. able to explain the meaning of knowledge, science, and philosophy;
3. able to explain the terms of philosophy of science study;
4. able to explain the different kinds of knowledge;
5. able to explain the role of philosophy of science in the development of the scientific method;
6. able to explain inductive, deductive, and abductive thinking methods;
7. able to compose the background / significance of a study
8. able to formulate research objectives
9. able to develop a theoretical framework / concept studies
10. able to develop research methods
11. able to formulate and test hypotheses with relevant data
12. able to explain the basic techniques of data collection and analysis of both qualitative and quantitative research

Task I. Making paper
1. Understanding knowledge, scientific, and faith

2. The definition of truth, how to seek the truth, kinds of the truth, kinds of knowledge

3. Dimensional study of the philosophy of science

4. Abductive, deductive, and inductive thinking

 

Task II. Making and presenting paper. Make your research plan, and a review of the terms of the ontological, epistemological, and axiological
